BasketBall City Summer Camp is NYC’s best basketball camps program 

Beginning July 13, Basketball City will be running weekly VIRTUAL schedule of Summer Basketball Camps from our facility in downtown Manhattan. We will have our current professional staff of coaches teaching our Virtual camp via Zoom. Our virtual camps are designed to teach kids the skills they need to become a better basketball player by using specific drills and fitness work that focus on the fundamentals of the game in a fun and virtual environment.   The camps run in two-hour time slots (daily) from Monday – Friday for ages 6-17 (see below for specific weeks and time slot for your age. Every camper will receive a Zoom Link and Password once they are registered and each camper will receive a Basketball City jersey. Each week of camp is limited to a maximum of 20 participants in each age group. This will ensure that your child receives individual attention needed to improve their skills.

  Basketball City is proud to be an Official Facility Partner of the Jr. NBA. The Jr. NBA is the official basketball participation program of the NBA, WNBA and NBA Development League. The Jr. NBA teaches the fundamentals and values of the game at the grassroots level to help grow and improve the youth basketball experience for all.


Frequently Asked Questions

Any changes to the original week(s) of camp registered must be made two weeks prior to the start of the camp. You can switch these weeks as long as it is done prior to the two week deadline. Any difference in the price of the two camps must be paid in full.

Campers should wear basketball attire to camp. This includes sneakers, shorts and a t-shirt or reversible jersey. Do NOT bring any jewelry, valuables or loose cash. An on-site camp phone will be accessible to all campers. Campers should also make sure they have lunch and enough drinks for the day. 

Basketball City prides itself on having the #1 summer basketball staff in New York City. The staff is made up of local current/former college coaches, high school/AAU coaches, former/current professional players and current/former college players. Everyone on our staff has extensive knowledge of the game of basketball as well as experience teaching and coaching kids.

The boys and girls participate in camp activities together. Our coaches are professionals who create parity in each group and assure that everyone receives equal playing time and attention.

The groups are generally divided by age. If necessary, additional consideration will be made based on talent level. The camp director must approve all such moves.

No, our camps are designed to function on a weekly basis with each camp having a unique agenda. If your child is only participating in one week, he or she will not miss out on anything that would prevent them from getting the most out of the camp.

Each week of camp has its own personality. Generally there is a current or former NBA person that highlights a particular week, however the structure of the camp remains constant.

The camp fee includes all coaching and instruction plus a reversible jersey.

There will be a camp store at the Downtown Facility ONLY. We will NOT have a canteen at The Post for 2021 camp. A parent or camper will have a chance to deposit money into an account and when he or she wants can purchase a drink or a snack. however, we are not responsible for any lost money. Water is provided at all times during camp hours.

There will be NO Camp Store this summer at The Post. There will be a camp store this summer at the Downtown Facility ONLY, where you can purchase BasketBall City gear, drinks and snacks. However, we are not responsible for any lost money. Water is provided at all times during camp hours. 

The Post (Summer 2021) There will be no lunch provided. All Campers must bring there own lunch and drinks.

Basketball City Facility – Lunch can either be brought from home that will be stored in a locked refrigerator. It can also be purchased for $10 a day. We will have a catering company providing the food.

Hunter College – Lunch is NOT included in the camp package. Each child is required to bring a bagged lunch that will be stored in a locked refrigerator. Please note that glass bottles of any kind are prohibited.

Summer 2021 – There will be NO AFTERCARE

$150/WEEK, $40/DAY

Basketball City offers a daily After Care Program at the Facility from 4:30pm – 6:00pm. Parents may register for one day or up to five days per week. Transportation is not available for campers in After Care. A late fee of $25/every half hour will be charged for pick-ups after 6:00pm.

All camps run from Monday to Thursday from 9am to 4pm, Friday 9am – 3pm (unless otherwise noted).

All of the camps are co-ed.

No. A lot of planning and work goes into making all the teams equal, which helps the staff teach the game better. Requesting that a camper be paired with another camper would effect the balance of the camp.
