Weeknight charter court rentals are available at Basketball City! Whether you're interested in renting a court for a corporate outing or simply want to get together with a bunch of friends, Basketball City can accommodate you. We offer 7 hardwood full courts, locker rooms, seating, basketballs, and showers. If you want to get serious we can arrange for referees and scorekeepers. We're open for hourly group rentals Monday-Thursday evenings, 5pm-10pm. For custom, full-facility rentals, events and private tournaments, please inquire about potential weekend hours.

      About Us

      NYC's premier "state-of-the-art facility" contains seven air-conditioned basketball courts complete with glass backboards, electronic scoreboards and first class locker rooms. In addition to league play, the courts are available for private rentals and special events.

      The facility also includes a VIP Mezzanine (which will be serving food and beverages), a 40,000+ sq. ft. parking lot, and a 15,000 sq. ft. deck on the East River overlooking the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges, the Statue of Liberty and downtown Brooklyn and Manhattan.

      NYPD Connects With City’s Youth At First-Ever ‘Ball For It All’ Basketball Tournament.

      More than 200 middle and high school students from every borough brought their A-game to Pier 36 on the Lower East Side for the first ever Ball for it All tournament. It included teams that come from similar NYPD programs. 18-year-old Brad Hughes plays in the NYPD PAL league, and came out Saturday thanks to an invite from a friend. “It’s a different experience,” the Bushwick teen said. “I got used to other leagues but this one is more like family. You know, they want you to come. It’s not like you’re forced to, they want you to come.” The tournament was also about more than just the game. The NYPD was using basketball to build trust and strengthen relationships in the community. “I’ve never been a fan of cops, but now I realize they’re just humans doing their job,” Brad said. Officers also hoped their presence would influence kids to make good decisions and turn to them if something bad ever happens....

      Adidas Gauntlet brought some of the nation's best young players in the building for a summer weekend at Basketball City.

      The Gauntlet series is a three-stop travel team circuit for adidas sponsored teams to gain exposure in front of college coaches, media outlets and their peers. Teams face high level national competition allowing players to prepare for the challenges and opportunities they will ultimately face in college. Please note that adidas Gauntlet Gold events are invite only. Teams who register without having been invited will not be allowed to compete in adidas Gauntlet Gold events. ...
